Welcome to The Border Practice, Aldershot

We are a practice of 3 doctors, 2 nurse practitioners, 3 nurses, 1 HCA, 1 phlebotomist and 20 additional staff. Between us we look after over 8,900 patients and rising in the Aldershot area. We aim to provide a high standard of personal care for our patients and a comprehensive range of medical services. You can read more about us in the section ‘staff’ ...here.... Our surgery is located at Blackwater Way and we moved there in December 2005.


If you are looking for a practice to join or if you are already registered with this practice, we hope that you will find the information on our website useful. Registration forms can be obtained from reception. Two forms of identification are required; one of which needs to have proof of residency and photo ID. On completion you will be offered an appointment for a new patient health check. A map of our catchment area is available to view at reception.

Swine Flu

If you have flu-like symptoms and have recently returned from an affected country or if you are concerned because you think you have been in direct or indirect contact with someone who may have swine flu; follow Government guidelines and:-

Do not come to the surgery.  Stay at home and phone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or the surgery.

You can reduce the risk of catching or spreading flu by:

  • Always covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  • Disposing of dirty tissues promptly and carefully.
  • Maintaining good basic hygiene, for example, washing hands frequently with soap and warm water, to reduce the spread of the virus from your hands to face or to other people.
  • Cleaning hard surfaces, such as door handles, frequently using a normal cleaning product.

  

Standard Opening Hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 6.30pm

  • Please note that you can call us at any time during our opening hours to make an appointment. 

  • We ask that patients wishing to book an appointment in advance phone us after 10am

  • If you need an urgent same day appointment, please call from 8.30am. 

  • Please call after 11am for test results.

Morning Surgery

Doctors appointments are available from 8.30am to 11.00am.  Some of these appointments are pre-bookable (please phone after 10am to book these) and some are bookable on the day only, for urgent issues.  

Afternoon Surgery

Doctors appointments are available from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Some of these appointments are pre-bookable (please phone after 10am to book these) and some are bookable on the day only, for urgent issues.  

Late Evening Surgery

GP appointments are available twice a month from 6.30pm to 8.20pm. This is meant for full time workers only and appointments must be booked in advance. It is not a walk-in surgery.

Saturday Surgery

GP appointments are available twice a month from 8.30am to 12-noon. This is meant for full time workers only and appointments must be booked in advance. It is not a walk-in surgery.
